PEABODY — The PVMHS School Building Committee introduced PMA Consulting as its owner's project manager for the high school project. Mayor Betancourt said the selection committee's decision was unanimous, and the MSBA approved the choice after an OPM panel meeting Monday. PMA Managing Director Kevin Nigro said the firm has completed more than 40 MSBA projects, and the team pointed to Somerville High School as a comparable job.
A committee member said the city aims to submit the designer request for services to the MSBA on May 1, with an architect likely hired in late July. The mayor said a law firm is studying project labor agreements, a review expected to take three to six months.
