Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of April 13, 2026
Peabody's Zoning Board of Appeals approved two variances and denied a third at its April 13 meeting. The board backed a kitchen addition at 10 Margaret Road, replacing a carport, with a side yard of about 8 feet instead of 15. It also approved a split of 18 Sparrow Lane so Mark and Amy Belanger can build an accessible single-story home for their 21-year-old daughter; attorney John R. Kelty told the board the new 11,024-square-foot lot would otherwise be built within zoning.
Neighbor Elizabeth Ouellette asked for a 15-foot setback, which Kelty confirmed. A 24.8 by 25-foot addition at 23 Lynn Street was denied. A letter said the 133-unit 15 King Street project will proceed under its existing permit, with groundbreaking expected in early 2027.
