Peabody's state champion youth softball team is asking the community for help funding a trip to regionals, while local youth leagues turn toward fall registration.

YOUTH LEAGUES -- Peabody Youth Softball's state championship team "needs help" defraying the costs of a trip to regionals in Maryland, Patch reported.

Peabody Little League has opened registration for Fall Ball 2026, with sign-ups closing Aug. 12; the league is also seeking coaches, according to Patch. On its website, the league lists the White Sox as 2026 Majors champions, the Angels as 2026 AAA champions and the Cubs as 2026 AA champions, and credits the White Sox with the 2026 city championship title as well.

The Peabody Youth Soccer Association has opened registration for the Fall 2026 season, though the league says space is limited in some divisions and it "will not be offering an in-town soccer program for 7th & 8th grade players this fall."
