Conservation Commission · Meeting of April 8, 2026

PEABODY — The Conservation Commission continued the 309 Lowell Street duplex hearing to May 6 on a 7-0 vote. Attorney John R. Kelty presented two duplexes on new lots beside the owners' existing house, with all construction inside the 200-foot riverfront area. Several members objected, and one said, "I'm not in support of this project at all." City Councilor Jared Hockman urged a wildlife habitat study.

A site visit was set for April 23 at 4 p.m., with a second at 303 Lowell Street at 5 p.m. The commission also approved, 7-0, a negative determination with two conditions for a Brooksby Village wellness park, and continued hearings at 90 Winona Street and 26 Trask Road.
