Peabody Planning Board Continues Two Site Reviews to August 6

PEABODY — July 16, 2026 — Peabody Planning Board defers its only two active cases to August 6 at applicants' requests. The board met Thursday at City Hall and spent fewer than 10 minutes dispatching a light agenda, unanimously continuing both pending site plan reviews without substantive discussion. The 532 Lowell Street application (Map 35, Lot 28) was extended after Attorney Kelty called the planning office that afternoon requesting more time; the 81 Prospect Street application (Map 39, Lot 46A) was continued at the written request of applicant representative Nicholas Betts, whose case remains stalled in peer review. A board member reported that the Department of Public Works is waiting for a formal written response from the peer reviewer, the Holly Witten Group, before DPW can issue its own comments on the applicant engineering team's point-by-point rebuttal — a sequence that must be completed before the board can act on the merits of that application.
