Peabody Honors America 250 Student Essay Contest Winners At City Hall

Peabody marked its America 250th-anniversary observance with a City Hall ceremony honoring student essay-contest winners, even as the city pushed out fresh detour guidance for the ongoing Central Street construction project downtown.

TOWN HALL

The city recognized winners of its America 250 student essay contest at a ceremony inside City Hall, part of Peabody's build-up to the nation's semiquincentennial. The announcement was posted to the city's official News Flash feed alongside a batch of other municipal notices this week.

Separately, the city issued new guidance on traffic detours and travel impacts tied to the Central Street construction project, as work continues on the downtown corridor. City Hall also posted fresh information on the upcoming State Primary Election for residents planning ahead.
